The only 5 words you should say to your kid after a performance

Our good friend Tim Elmore, a member of the original Champion Tribes group and president of Growing Leaders, wrote a wonderful piece about the only 5 words you should ever say to your child after a performance.

Whether it is athletics, a school play, or any other kind of activity. The only 5 words you should say to your child is…

“I love watching you play”

That is it. Nothing more. Nothing less. That is what kids want to hear. That is what they need to hear.

I encourage you to read the entire article on Growing Leaders and check out some of their other great articles about leading the next generation. But the next time your son or daughter has a performance of any kind be sure to use the magic 5 words when you see them afterwards.
